Orioles call up Gibson to face Yankees

Baltimore Orioles will activate top pitching prospect Trey Gibson to start against the New York Yankees on Sunday, according to manager Craig Albernaz.

The 23-year-old right-hander, ranked Baltimore's No. 3 prospect, is being called up from Triple-A to join the Orioles' taxi squad amid multiple pitching injuries. Trevor Rogers, Dean Kremer, and Zach Eflin are currently on the injured list, necessitating the move for Gibson who has a 4.01 ERA in six Triple-A starts this season with 25 strikeouts and 12 walks. amunra-online.pl
